Showing Your Vehicle

What to expect

  • When you arrive at the show field, you will be given your Entrant Package and directed onto the showfield by one of our Stewards.
  • You will find out what class your car will be displayed in on the morning of the event, when you receive your Entrants Package at check in.
  • Our Selection Committee grouped cars in various ways (into Car “Classes”) to present a dynamic display for all to enjoy. Our event is not a “technical” event – it is a “design” and “history” event – and so, the value and/or rarity of a car may not be the deciding factor for an award. We realize that you may be displayed next to a car more common and from a completely different era than your car. THIS IS BY DESIGN. We want to expose everyone to the incredible diversity and evolution of the automobile! For some, their love of the automobile may come from the value, or the technology, or remembering their first car …or a roadtrip taken with their family when they were a kid (or grandpa’s car!). We are not trying to pit one car against another – as much as we are inviting all to enjoy the automobile – as part of our history, style, culture, and soul!
  • Our judges are a mix of car experts, design experts, accomplished professionals, historians, writers, race car drivers and so much more. They too are enjoying the display of cars and reacting “in the moment” to what they see. We do not know if the Judges assigned to your group will appreciate a grand classic as much as they will a modern supercar. They may have been touched by a 60’s muscle car or a 50’s cruiser. Please consider this “fun competition”!
  • Please remember, our focus is to gather and enjoy an incredible Garden Party, set amongst some of the most historic, nostalgic, advanced and/or quaint cars in history. Please enjoy the day… and if you happen to win an award – Congratulations!
  • Around the showfield, there will be cars being judged in grouped classes, as well as special display cars. There will also be cars from Museums and special race car displays. ALL cars on the field have the opportunity to win an award. However, a car can only win a Class Award if it resides in a particular class. Cars that are not grouped in a particular class are eligible for Special Awards as well as the Best in Show awards.

Do’s and Don’ts

  • Please make sure your car is properly prepared to display on a Concours field. The car should be fully detailed, inside and out. Engine bay, trunk, interior and of course the exterior. If you do not have the time to complete a comprehensive detailing of your show vehicle, please hire a professional!
  • If you are bringing chairs, coolers, picnic blankets or anything else to make your day more enjoyable, we welcome you to do that! But please leave extra items in your trunk. It is important to have the area around your area tidy and presentable – for the sake of other participants as well as the overall presentation of your car and of the show field in general.
  • Bring your Furry friend! But please keep them on a leash and clean up after them!
  • Please, no signs or miscellaneous items associated with your car should be placed on the show field. If you have interesting information about your car that you want to share, please place it on a seat cushion or place it on your chair or blanket. Nothing should be placed in windows or in front or around the vehicle.
  • Displaying “For Sale” signs, brand logos, company information or any other form of “marketing” is strictly prohibited.
  • Take pictures, video, post on social, shoot a Vlog – have a blast! But NO DRONES ARE ALLOWED! You can tag the event with: @motorcarcavalcade, #motorcarcavalcade

Once the Best of Show ribbons have been designated, the two winners will be directed to the main stage to be announced to the crowd and to receive their trophies.
  • The event concludes after the awarding of Best of Show.
  • Vehicles are not allowed to leave the show field until the Master of Ceremonies “releases” the field.
